 "I have tried many times to curb sugar cravings on my own. And I always failed. A couple of my friends completed the January Wellness Sugar Detox. They are intelligent, smart, fit women, and I valued their opinions. Although I was frightened of another failure, I ended up joining the October team. And it has been the BEST GIFT I’ve ever given myself. January’s 2 week program taught me more about my body, its nutritional needs, metabolic reactions, and caloric efficiency, than I had ever learned before. I can’t remember the last time I slept better, felt better, and looked better than during this detox. Even my skin feels reborn.

"Day 23 without sugar... I feel so much more calm during the day.  I get horrible anxiety sometimes, and have even considered medication... but since I have cut out the sugar, I am managing it a lot better. Just this calm, steady peaceful energy that feels so steady. My level of pain is considerable lower... My job is so physical and my feet and legs often hurt a lot during/after work. Now, I feel like I actually have the energy and ease in my body to go enjoy activities after my shift. I don’t feel like I’m going to yoga to “fix” my pain so much anymore as I am going to experience a class and move my body.  My practice feels lighter and like how my body is looking.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know what you have developed here has helped me so much!  I am so so grateful that I have this knowledge now. "What a difference I'm experiencing. Day 1 was filled with intrigue, "ok, let's see what this is all about and give it a try," you know, the newness of it. Day 2 was challenging as I could not stop yawning and well, as my wife would say, had to wait for my behind to catch up with me since it was dragging a ways back. Day 4 I noticed the bloating was gone and it was getting easier to fall asleep. Woke up day 5 and the sluggishness was gone, sprung out of bed and had a quick step about me. Making me wonder where this energy was coming from and started just feeling "clean". I'm enjoying the process of preparing, cooking and eating fresh. Love the fact that I am not feeling "Ugh, bloated, gassy, like I need to sit down and unbutton the pants to relieve the pressure." Skip to day 10 and I noticed today my jeans are just a tad bit looser on me. Looking forward to getting back into exercising, walking long distances, maybe get back in the gym and hit some weights, see what happens.
