Bula friends!! We just wrapped up another amazing and successful trip to Fiji with this year's Bula Wellness Retreat crew! I have a serious case of Missing-the-islands Blues, so as I sit here and flip through my photos, I present a slideshow for you!
One of my favorite things about this trip is that it's never the same; the people who come with us provide a new dynamic each time, of course... but it's also different every trip because of Fiji itself, and the ever-changing landscape and slow-pace of life. We've learned to go with the flow, because the unexpected twists always end up giving us the best memories!
Case in point: I'd planned the first morning's yoga session for out on my favorite deck where we could watch the sunrise as we practiced... and then a huge rainstorm rolled in! So we moved the morning session into the Seaside Restaurant. It's round, and all windows, so it made such a cool experience to be practicing in the middle of the storm itself, facing each other, slowing down to really appreciate it!
We had lots of other great workouts and yoga sessions outside later in the week:
We had some other awesome adventures too; with a trip to the Vuadomo Waterfall, to Savusavu town, a kayak up the Salt River to Salt Lake, and a day trip to the most dreamy white sand beach you could imagine for beach-combing and snorkeling.
We ate some pretty incredible food... fresh fruit ALL DAY and the freshest local catch on the menu daily:
And the coolest part to me, is how a group of different people from all different walks of life can come together on a trip like this and have an absolute blast getting to know each other, and sharing the adventures with new friends. Sounds cliche, but it's true... I was so grateful for this group!!
